Why do you think you need to use Uber? Plenty of people travel there and get around fine by walking and public transportation. You can get taxi from airport. It used to be there was no criminal check on uber drivers, don't know about now, but they also changed the law so you actually have to have a polish driver's license now, at least. Which cut down a lot on drivers, and they are not allowed to drive in the same places as real taxi drivers, and they may cost more.

We used the Uber app when we visited Ukraine in 2019 and used it in English. They have a way to change the language in the settings. My nephew told us about it as he preferred to use uber so he didn't have to try to speak to the driver in his/her native language. So, I did a search on Google who seems to know everything. You might want to check it out so you have options. Also, there might be a car service to use to take you back to the airport -- Googled that, too. I a great believer in options.
For car services I've used Transfeero dot com albeit in Italy and there was also Blacklane and someplace called VIP Transfers when I searched Krakow car services
Google Uber results:No, Uber does not automatically stay in English when you use the app in a foreign country; it will likely default to the language setting of the country you are in, but you can easily change the app's language to English or you can change it by going to the menu, then Settings, and selecting App Language to your preferred language. The app does not automatically translate messages between you and your driver, so it is important to set the app to your chosen language to avoid confusion and ensure accurate communication of your destination.
