Krakow Hotel

We have the opportunity to travel to Poland in October and use Krakow as a 5 day base to visit other sights by bus day tours which I think is a wonderful way to see an area and not have to unpack/pack every day. The hotel according to web info is either 3 or 4 km from the downtown area and I assume not reasonable to reach by walking. Does anyone know of the Novotel Bronowice and have stayed there and what is the neighborhood like and is it that far from downtown? Thank You.
Dennis

Am I correct to assume that there is some reason to stay at this particular hotel? There are lots of good hotels that in or very close to the centre of the city which would be much more desirable.

Perhaps this hotel is part of an air/hotel package and the o.p. has no other choice?

Yes, this Hotel is part of a package tour and it's selection just didn't seem as the most convenient for seeing Krakow.

Well, I thought that perhaps there would be comments from former guests at Trip Advisor, but there is none.

Is it possible for you to switch hotels to a more convenient location?

It may be possible to switch but bus travel coordination between two hotels may be difficult. Can you recommend hotels near the city center? I would recommend these to the travel agent to see if he would consider switching everyone to a more convenient hotel but of course he must have a reason for choosing this one! Thanks.

If your TA has an "in" with Novotel there is the Novotel Krakow Centrum. It is short walk to the old part of town. I stayed there while there for a meeting last year. It would be a much better location than the other Novotel.
