I know everyone loves this restaurant, but DH and I had a less than stellar meal there a few years ago. We found just the opposite of what everyone says, except for the fact that it is indeed tiny. Off night maybe? Food wasn't great, and we didn't find the owners particularly charming - more indifferent.

Returning to Paris and will only have time for one dinner and am looking for a casual place in the 7th. Any updates to this restaurant?

You will notice Bistro de Breutil mentioned in the posts too - it has a website you can look at. I doubt that Le Petit Troquete has a website but when we go to Paris, we usually try to have a meal at both of them. If the weather is nice, Bistro de Breutil has a wonderful outdoor area - it is usually full of a mix of toursits and locals - reservations are a must, also usually for Le Petit Troquet (which is usually more full of toursits).

Thanks for the heads up! It's very close to the apartment where we will be staying and we'll surely make sure to check out the restaurant.

Also looking at Pasco. as well as others. As reported above, we ate at Le Petit Troquet in the summer of 1995 and enjoyed it. We may return for old time's sake or venture out to another bistro in the 7th on our upcoming trip.

Betsy, Pasco's has a very good 7th clientele and is open on Sunday. Later evening (9:00) reservations are always best. You will enjoy. Roomy tables and space.

I think way back whenever, an early trip to Paris, went to Le Petit Troquet..don't know when I was there last..several years, at least.

I ate at Cafe Constant last year and found it VERY good. Not as fancy as some mentioned on here, but that means it is casual, no reservations that I know of.
