Kayak confusion - what am I missing here?
Looked for nonstop flight between Chicago (ORD) and Glasgow (GLA)- and Kayak returns flights of 12-20 hour duration. It does say "non-stop" as opposed to "direct." Normal flight time between Chicago and London would be 7-8 hours. How am I misreading Kayak? Thanks for advice--

Hi N,
I looked up your flight.
I deleted the 1 and 2 stop.
I got a "nonstop" at wegolo dot com.
I clicked it.
The wegolo website says
"The outbound and/or inbound flight you selected is not a non-stop or direct flight!"

A direct flight is one that keeps the same flight number, but not necessarily the same equipment. I've heard a pilot announce "those passengers continuing on to Indianapolis on this flight will need to go to Gate X and board a different airplane."

definitely looks like an error. Kayak is only as reliable as the info it is fed from other sources, and in this case wegolo has supplied incorrect info.
Good of you to check, else you'd be spending a 4hr layover in Dublin on your 'non-stop' flight.
