Just booked entrance to Basilica San Marco. Is there a separate entrance?

I've received my confirmation but need to know if there is a different entrance with a booking.

If there was another entrance we didn't find it. I just went to the front of the very long line-beside it, not actually in it. I held up my confirmation page for anyone inside to see & someone motioned us in. We either had to step over the strap barrier or they moved it, don't remember which.

Ok is right, DinPa-you go to the front of the line, show them your reservation, and you go on in the front entrance to the Basilica.

Where do you book this?

I didn't realize there were reservations for the Basilica.

Isn't it free?

I know some tours get their people in ahead of the queues.

Is the dress code strictly enforced?

Yes Din Pa, just go to the front of the line and show it to the guard ( as everybody is staring at you! LOL!).

scrb,

Go to www.alata.it . You can reserve a day and time to go into the Basilica without standing in line. Oh, and it's free! A no brainer!

We had trouble finding where to go with our reservation paper last year. Just go up to the front with your paper and ask the person allowing entrance. It is not marked at all.
