Great posts!

We'll be in Edinburgh for two nights in late August. Really looking forward to the Military Tattoo!

Flying Continental from Newark to Glasgow.

Looks like Continental might be out of the running with us. Just saw that the flight from Seattle goes into JFK so we would have to transfer to Newark. So back to the drawing board it is. I normally do not care for Northwest, but that may be our best option regarding schedules. I am trying to make this as easy and painfree for my friend. I don't need her to be stressed on her first trip!

mms. conservatively speaking, at least 50 ---count 'em, 50---people were booked without seat assignments and left standing at the gate.
Any decent flights on Delta or British Air?

That is a lot of people left! I guess since that flight is the first one to arrive each day, and it arrives so early that it is desireable. Shucks. We are flying from Seattle, so nothing is all that easy, lol! I really appreciate the heads up on this, thanks

Enjoyed reading the rest of your report and so glad you had such a good time, even though you were unlucky with the weather - hope the shoes aren't irretrievable ! I must visit all these places myself sometime

Hi, caroline. The shoes are fine. But, if I had to throw them away, I would do it happily. Cheap price to pay for such a great time!
