Bus or train in Chzech republic
Hi
I want to go with a friend of mine from Dresden to Praha.
So I thought about first traveling to Schmilka, walking over the border to Hrensko to take a bus there to Decin. There should go a bus or train to Praha.
The only problem is that I don't find neither prices nor times the bus leaves in Hrenkso or Decin.
Can anybody help me?
bye
Kathrin

Go to;
www.livingprague.com/httimetable.htm
Use the first search method and enter the required place names. Looks like buses run every three hours or so after 11am. No price but an 11km trip should be about 30kc and it takes 20 mins.

I traveled via German train from Berlin, through Dresden to Praque. It was fast and easy. I don't understand your complicated train/bus/walking plan but maybe you have your reasons. If you get on a Check train you will be very unimpressed. I got on one leaving Prague headed back to Germany. It was the slowest train I have ever been on in Europe and had no amenities, not even bottled water. It was my most miserable Full day in Europe. The train even stops at places which are in the middle of wheat field so somebody can get off. Yes it is gettin down with the locals but it was soooo sloooooow.

I should have read the original question more carefully. You can use the same search method but for Hrensko to Prague. The best option is Bus then switch to train for a total 2.5hr journey for @200kc. If you want the bus-only option then plan to have lunch in Decin as the changeover is normally a couple of hours.
