Julia's 50th in Italy

We are just deciding whether to fly out of Italy from Milan or Rome? Which airport is the better to fly out of going international?
thank you,
Julia

Milan has three airports, but Malpensa is the busiest and hosts more of the major carriers. Rome has two airports but FCO is considered the major one. We have used both Milan Malpensa and FCO on numerous occasions. Just depends on where you are going.

Yeah what is your schedule - you could fly into Milan or Venice and out of Rome or Naples - and if one is much cheaper then go for it - trains can quickly take you anywhere most tourists go in a few hours.

No one can answer that . . . Where will you be immediately before flying out? Where are you flying to? Do you favor one airline or alliance?

Are you arriving on a trans atlantic flight? Or on one from withon Wurope? Where do you plan to go in Italy? Milan is perfect for Italian Lakes, Dolomites, Venice, Liguria. You need togive more information.

Either location is fine. I would choose whichever offers the best flight times, convenience and price.
