Jacket length for touring.
I found a great 3/4 length all weather jacket for my trip to Ireland but am wondering if that is too long for all that bus sitting on tours. It is supposed to be wrinkle free. Opinions please.

sitting on the bottom of any coat and jacket will inevitably create some wrinkles, and they may be pressed into the fabric a bit. I wouldn't worry about it however, hang it in the bathroom while you shower, and if it is really non-wrinkle, it should smooth out. A 3/4 or full-length jacket offers more rain protection than a shorter one.

I had my 3/4 length jacket when I went to England in May of 2004. I took many bus tours and it was fine. It had a bit of wrinkle, but nothing bad.
I was freezing on the bus, Faina, and used my pashmina to cover myself as well. I must have thin blood!
My jacket was not lined. I found dressing in layers was the best approached and worked well. I was so fortunate, it only rained one day out of the two weeks that I was there, and for only an hour or two.
Have a wonderful time.
