It was flurrying all week-end and yesterday there was a light dusting clinging to the green spaces. It looked pretty but it was too cold, damp and WINDY to appreciate it much! Made for a lot of cafe stops however!
I haven't seen that many fur coats in the last 20 years! And the famous Parisan scarves were wound arounf noses and mouths so it looked like all the women had adopted the burqa!

The last time I was in Paris in the snow, it was truly wild weather...when I started lunch it was raining, but the time I got dessert it was sleeting, but the time I left, it was snowing and by the time I walked from the Blv. St. Michel to the Ile St. Louis, it was snowing HARD with heavy thunder and lightning! There was a freak winter thunderstorm directly overhead. It was amazing, but also a little scary. I ducked into a store on the Ile St. Louis to get out of the storm. I pretended to be interested in the merchandise, but the shop owner knew the real reason I was there and I knew he knew.
Is the snow in Paris sticking?
I leave Saturday morning for 11 days in Vienna and am hoping to see some "real" snow there. We've been having snow showers here in the southeastern UK, but it's not sticking and it's not very impressive.

Thx everyone, no it doesn't have to warm up much for me to be happy. That's why I figured that around 5 degrees would make me happy as some Lindt black currant chocolate. But, I guess I will not notice the snow when I'm inside shopping and visiting the museum...I guess I will just have to wait until summer here in Canada.
Hey, how you guys put the smileys in your post??

Chocaholic,
Weather reports here in France are saying we may see the sun on Saturday and Sunday, but Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be the coldest days we've had all winter. That probably not very cold compared to condition in most of Canada, however. It was about 2ºC here in the Loire Valley this afternoon.

I live in Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher, which is 25 miles (40 km) south of Blois in the Touraine area. Here are some pictures I took in my yard this morning:
