Italy train tickets
Hi!
We are 7 people who are planning to take a trip by train from Venice to Italy on 4th of January, 2007.
We want to book 7 tickets on the website "http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html", but we're kind of confused by the "fare" and don't know what to choose? Can anyone give us some advice?
(3 of us are under 26, 4 of us are over 30 years old. We are friends.)
Thanks a lot.

Where to in Italy?
Most of the various fare categories won't apply to you; they are tied to special discount card programs or such. It looks like you can't buy more that 5 tickets at a time under the promotional fare sales.
Try the purchase guide section on the site:

I've done very little with trenitalia web site (except swear at it a few times, it used to be worse). Don't know anything about group specials. They do sometimes have special advance purchase sales with big discounts, those are the ones where I was mentioning that it doesn't seem like you can buy more than 5 seats at a time (you could try splitting your ticket purchase).
