Tickets to Italy

It has been a while since I needed to book flights to Italy and was wondering if there are any new travel sites I should check into for a great ticket LAX/ FLR (Florence-ITaly). I already checked the usual suspects. Thanks,

If you can combine a cheap flight to JFK (jetblue?) with one of the Eurofly specials you could come out ahead. They don't fly every day to every one of their destinations, but their advantage (aside from price occasionally) is that they fly directly into smaller regional airports where you otherwise have to make connections with the majors.

www.euroflyusa.com

In your case that would be Bologna - itself a cool old city worth a look before you hop on the train to Florence for the one-hour ride.

Also search for flights into Pisa - the airport has a train station, some trains go all the way to Florence in a bit over an hour, others require a quick change in Pisa Centrale - a fairly painless way to get into Florence, and - of course - a stopover in Pisa and a walk to the leaning tower is a good leg stretch after your international flght! Plenty of trains whenever you're ready, no need to reserve, just hop on, it's regional express trains.
