italy tour guide and limo service
Beware of Italy Travel services AKA RomeServices, Limoservicesrom, Vatican city tours, . I had booked a private tour for my grandson & me. They put me in a van with 6 other people. Robert , the "guide/ driver ) never got out of the car, talked on his cell all the time, and was beyond rude. They were supposed to credit my credit card which they never did. They have not responded to my emails. They charged me over $1000 and I can do nothing because the billing company Italy Services is somewhere in England and no one can find them. My credit card company Chase, has basically said 'buyer beware' . Their # is (39)3387425100.

I'd be speaking with a manager at Chase. You have a right to dispute the charge and they should take it off and let the vendor respond to the disputed charge.
Put in a complaint to the attorney general's office - but keep your Chase card while the AG's office deals with Chase. If you cancel the card, the AG's office might not help you.
When all is done, call Amex.

While credit cards will go to bat for you if you didn't get the services you paid for, I'm sorry to say this doesn't sound like that. You did apparently get the tour you ordered (private doesn't mean you alone, I assume). It sounds like a horrible day, but credit cards are not likely to refund your money because a guide was rude to you or you weren't happy with the tour as provided. Can you imagine what would happen if everyone challenged their credit card because a restaurant gave them rude service and they didn't care for their food there?
Thank you for the warning about this company, though.
You say they were supposed to credit your card. Do you have that in writing or the name of who told you that? If so, that should be a good loophole for Chase to get your money back.
Also I see on their website they have three different prices for all tours -- presumably individual with a car, up to four passengers plus driver, and in a van up to 9 passengers. I'm assuming you were charged the rates of the latter. If not, then again you should be able to be credited by Chase for the difference -- or the company should have to prove to Chase why not.

I am involved in a very big hassle with these people right now, and I have not even used their services. I was trying to set up tours with them, having talked on the phone with them. The paperwork I received said that the "transaction is not complete until the voucher is signed and FAXed back to them. My red flag was that I was quoted an hourly rate in euros, but the quote came in pounds. They told me they banked in England, and some people would miss the fact that the quote was actually in pounds, which, of course, makes things much more pricey. Yes, I was dumb enough to give them my credit card number to get the paperwork and deposit started. When I realized the overpriced expense I told them I was no longer interested, and they informed me that by giving me the credit card, I could not cancel...yada,yada,yada. I called my credit card company immediately, and they said an authorization had come down but no actual charge as of yet. What they did do was close my account and turn this over to the fraud department. I feel very stupid at the moment because I am generally a very overly-cautious person. The fraud department is the place for this matter to be, rather than the dispute department because of the way they do business.

There are many "horror stories" about ROBERT and his list of consumer fraud companies.
This will be my final post about this subject unless someone has a specific question...BUT this is the list of every company Robert operates at this time (I'm sure there will be more as soon as the next "sucker" is born...and you know how that is...one every minute as PT BARNUM I think said).
Italy Travel Services.com
Vatican City Tours.com
Limo ServiceS Rome. com
(The Services with the S is Robert, another legitimate company without the S is very good, or so I have heard).
Limousine service in rome italy.com
Limo services rome.com
italy hotels center.com
Rome sightseeing tours.com
Italy getaways.com
rome destination management consultants.com
Italy luxury coach tours.com
hotels rome center.com
ancient rome hotels.com
limo services sorrento.com
There may be others---and I'm sure they may change names often.
Run a google search on phone numbers 39-334-379-4127 and 39-338-742-5100, for NOW, but those #'s will probably change often also.
This company is a major scam. You will always get SOMETHING, but it will never be what you paid for, or the price you agreed to pay.
It will always be charged outside of Italy, to make prosecution almost impossible. If you want your dream vacation turned into a nightmare---deal with one of these companies.

I am having a great deal of trouble with this company right now. I booked - AND PAID FOR - a Vatican tour for 1/2/08. We were instructed to wait by the Cafe Paolo near the museum entrance. No one ever showed up. We must have called and emailed them 25 times in a few days. We got one call back that said they would email a refund form. It never showed up. What should I do???

lwood, if you paid by credit card, contest the charge on you bill. You say you paid for something that was never delivered, so the CC company should go to the vendor and ask them to prove what they did to deserve payment. Print copies of your emails as backup in case the CC company asks you for more info. Good luck.

Hi A,
Make copies of ALL of your correspondence with ITS and a diary of everything that happened.
Ask to speak to a supervisor at Chase, and politely explain what has happened.
If they tell you it can't be resolved. tell him or her that you will take your CC elsewhere, that usually helps.
If it doesn't, cancel your card.
