Italy... June or September?
Which month is better to visit Italy, June or September? By better I mean: when is the weather nicer? When are there fewer tourists? Is it cheaper in June/September or is it the same? If you were to visit Italy, which month would you do it and why?
Thanks for your opinions.

As I understand it, early September is still a rather prime (and busy) tourist season. While typically June is not quite peak season for room rates. (so it depends).
To answer your which month and why question, I would ask 'where are you thinking of going'? There are some temperature/weather considerations.

Italy has more than one climate. Where are you thinking of going?
One thing that would influence my decision in some popular tourist destinations is that at least some of June is a time when children are not in school, and many families immediately head to Italy with their kids, increasing the tourist crowds.
In September, most kids are back in school.
