Italy Internet Cafes: English Keyboards?
Hello Fodorites! When we were in France last year we looked for internet cafes that had English keyboards. If I recall correctly, they said "Querty" on them. Is there an Italian equivalent to this?
Thanks,
Bud

I went into several internet sites while there and all the keyboards were the same. You just have to look around for the punctuation and @ keys because they aren't in the same places but, they're all there. Don't know about France but, the keyboards in Italy have three characters on some keys (@ being one of them). I think I used the Alt key to get the @ character.

Hi buddyboy--we struggled using the French keyboards until we discovered that English ones were available. However the main resource in the internet cafes are the great staff who all spoke English. I would just rely on asking them for any help you might need. I am sure the Italian staff will be just as adept in English as were the French.

I found English keyboards in Florence, but not in Venice. They may exist, but I just didn't find one.
I agree that the difference never stopped me from sending emails. The punctuation keys were the main offenders, so I just avoided them and apologized in my emails.
