Is there a secure place at Orvieto's train station to leave luggage so that we might walk the town?

To Ira and the rest-is that restaurant I Sette Consoli really 40 euros a person? Do you think that it would be that expensive for a lunch? AND what makes it sooooo fabulous for a visit? Does anyone else have a special restaurant that they love in Orvieto?
Darling daughter and I are going to Rome on Thursday for two days and going up to Orvieto for one of the days so would like to have a special place to eat but cannot afford the bank for a lunch. We want to see the Duomo and do the underground tour with some shopping before heading back to Rome. When does everything close up in Orvieto on a Saturday? Thanks for your help on this very last minute trip.

I had a wonderful meal at a SlowFood member restaurant in Orvieto. It is more casual than Setti Consoli. A very pretty place with a charming host, Ciro, whose partner cooks:
Trattoria dell Orso Closed Monday.

Hi DF,
>is that restaurant I Sette Consoli really 40 euros a person....for a lunch? AND what makes it sooooo fabulous for a visit?<
One of the best restaurants I have been to. Lunch in the garden was lovely.
Everyone at the table has to order the 40E menu.
There are other nice places to eat in Orvieto.

Muskoka, can you tell us which office of Hertz you used in Florence to pick up your car? We want to do the same -- get it outside the center -- but not at the airport, which seems to cost considerably more.
Thanks, Charnee
