Is it to crowded in Prague in May
when the music festival is happening. Just read about the festival and have 4 days booked in May for our first time visit.
Will everything be too crowded to enjoy our time.
Thanks for your opinion.

no, I've been there twice during that intentionally, but I like music. The main problem is just getting a hotel room and then getting tickets to any special performance you might want, but if you have your hotel booked, there's no big problem otherwise.

Not nearly as crowdd as it will be in Jujly or August. And the festival is a hoot - not just for the formal performances- but for all the informal activities. My favorite was a group of Peruvian performers on a street corner - playing their uniquely identifiable music for a crowd of fascinated Czechs and tourists.

I was in Prague last year in May during
the music festival. It was crowded but definitely managable. In some ways it was very lively. You could easily
get a space in restaurants. I tried a range of them with no problem. Seems you have your hotel booked. Be ware of the sudden rain storms. I was told by Czechs that is normal for May. It ends in couple of hours though. It seemed
there were many American tourists in Prague. I could hear English all the time.
