Is it safe to leave a rental car at the airport in Seville?
Will be driving from Portugal to Seville, leaving a car at the airport while going to Barcelona for 4 days. Has anyone heard about the security in the parking areas at the airport there?
Years ago had a car totally ransacked while parked on a main street in Seville in front of very nice shops. Of course no one saw anything and the police did not want to bother.
Now I am concerned only about theft of the auto.

Provided you don't leave anything on the car, lock the doors and take other basic precautions, then any theft or damage to the car isn't your concern, but the rental firm's. If you have theft/damage cover with nil deductible/excess, then you should get a replacement car without question.

Thanks for the suggestions. My husband and I own a home in the southern part of Portugal known as the Algarve. For years we would fly or or bus down from Lisbon then drive our Opel Corsa while in the Algarve.
We have finally "junked" that car, rent a car in Lisbon when we arrive, drive down, then drive up to Lisbon when we are returning. This would make turning the car in at Seville not very smart as we would incur a drop off fee for another country when we return in Lisbon...and we will be back in Portugal for a while after Barcelona.
The rental through Auto Europe is with Guerin....think finding if they rent at Seville airport and have a lot a great suggestion.
Thanks.
