Is it possible in Rome?
Does anyone remember having a bathroom in Rome that does not have a bidet? Many modern hotels in France are dispensing with them but less so in Italy. IMO they just get in the way. Please, no lectures on the attributes of the bidet! Thanks.

I've always seen a bidet. Traveling on the cheap years ago, we chose rooms "without bath." While the toilet and shower/tub were down the hall, there was always a sink in the room, and sometimes a bidet--just in a corner of the room or in a separate room. Sometimes there was a plastic bidet that you could pull out from under the wall-mounted sink. A cup was provided for filling the bidet from the sink. So many variations. . .
