I am wondering if the whole trip is a week or the London/Paris portion is a week of a longer trip? Actually either way I say a week is enough time to hit a few highlights and get a taste of both cities. I doubt this will be the one and only time you and or they go to Europe. So, work with what you have. Enjoy!

The OP is a newbie and this was their first & only post. So far, they have not even responded to our recommendations.

Hi HV,

>Is a week enough to visit London and Paris? <

It is enough time to visit either London or Paris properly.

Of course you can do both, but you will miss the subtleties of the flavor of each.

First time when I was in Paris, it was because I miss a flight connection, so I had one afternoon and one morning to visit Paris. I knew theoretically what I would like to see and walk a lot, between Notre Damme, Louvre, Arc Triumph and Tour Eiffel. I visited only Notre Damme. In the morning, on the way to airport, I asked the taxi driver to make a detour and take me to see Sacre Couer.

First time in London it was also between two flights, I had there a day and a half. I took a city tour - full day tour, it included also the visit of Tower of London. At the end of the tour I had time to walk in Trafalgar Square (where my hotel was), Piccadilly Circus, Pall Mall.

I enjoyed these two very , very short visit in these beautiful cities. From then, I returned many times to each of them, each time for longer periods ( 5 - 12 days), but I still remember my emotion and joy when I first visited them for a very, very short time.
