Hi,
Not sure why some are being borderline rude but I think you'll have a great time even if it does rain (just make sure to wear proper attire and bring an umbrella).
The main sites like Bath Abbey & Roman Baths seem like they would be great despite the rain.

Gosh, it's just water! Mr. Scootoir does take showers, right?
We have been in Paris the last two days. It snowed today, 4 times, hailed twice, rained for several hours, and was cheerfully sunny the limited rest of the time. I don't understand letting weather, unless it's extreme, have much of anything to do with vacation plans. We visited the Place Beaubourg, Hôtel de Ville, Forum des Halles, rue de Rivoli, the whole of classic downtown tourist Paris, plus roamed all over Ménilmontant and Belleville, took buses, hid out three times from snow squalls with a hot chocolate or café or on one occasion a vin rouge, froze our tushes off, and still had a fabulous time. I mean, if you can't handle WEATHER when traveling, you are only on the very fringe of being able to handle anything.
I did buy a wool scarf for 2 euros and a pair of purple gloves to match my raincoat for 1.50 euros because I stupidly left that kind of warm stuff back at home in the Périgord, but being set back 3.50 euros to be a bit warm was hardly a hardship.
Bath is hardly a backwater. You should be able to duck into any number of places if the weather is so bad you can't deal with it.
FWIW, as an aside, I detest umbrellas when traveling, as I like to have my hands free at all times. I always travel with a warm waterproof 3/4-length raincoat in a fetching purple that keeps me warm and dry and has a hood with a "lid" I can secure over my head when there's a drownpour.

Borderline? Way over IMO like some Fodorgarchs just revel in doing whilst others offer genuinely great advice of what to do in Bath in the rain, besides take a bath!

Well StCirq Mr. Scootoir does take showers but when he does he's totally naked and I don't think that would be allowed in Bath (despite the name of the place).
