In case of rain in Bath
Hello, Mr. Wonderful and I will be in Bath next week, making our first visit there. For those of you who know Bath do you have suggestions for where we should spend a rainy day?

Locked in your hotel room so you don't melt.
Or a museum.
Or some National Trust properties that won't require walking the gardens.
Or a pub with a book.
Or shopping.
Or grab your camera and take advantage of the lighting to take some moody photographs.
It really doesn't matter.

Then perhaps you can enjoy the new experience?
There is little reason to change your plans for the city. It would be a different matter perhaps if you were planning to hike in mountains, but in a city it won't matter much. Plenty of places to go into to dry off.

Brolly, rain hat, water-resistant shoes. Downpours rarely last; grey days can spit all afternoon. It has been chilly in England this spring so dress in layers for the situation. Be European and acquire a dashing scarf as a souvenir, the damp guy too.

My first time in Bath I was alone.. and it was pouring.. I spent a happy day there.. I first visited the Baths themselves.. enjoyed the museum.. then I went to the Costume Museum.. then I stopped for tea and buns.. then I visited the big church near the Baths.. and spend about an hour reading all the cool memorial stones.
I wandered a bit too of course... but it seemed appropriate to visit Bath in rain..
Wear a good rain jacket , shoes, and carry an umbrella ( if like me you are hat adverse)
OF course.. there is always the stand by activity for Mexican vacations..
DAY DRINKING..

Mr. Wonderful wants me to chime in for him to tell you we are from a desert climate and have limited experience with rain.>
Well then treat it as a great opportunity to experience the near daily plight of British Islanders and see why umbrellas are so so popular - like most say there are lots of pit stops inside to do to though to me the joy of Bath is indeed strolling around the awesomely Georgian architecture. There is no doubt a HOHO - Hop On Hop Off Bus tour of the city too where you buy a ticket for the day and get on and off as you like - with commentary en route. Stay on the bus if raining and if it stops get off, etc.
