Probably an overland trip to Central/Western Africa. There are so many countries I haven't visited that I'd love to see (CAR, Cameroon, Guinea Bissau) and I'd go back to northern Nigeria where I spent much of my childhood. Of course with no logistical problems it wouldn't be familiar - but them there wouldn't be any problems with Boko Haram either.

Pariswhat, what's De Lorean I?

A misspelling of DeLorean.

This is a fun thread. I would love to go to Tahiti, just like denisea, and Maldives. I would also love to spend a month or more in Europe just wandering.

Spain: Ibiza, Majorca, Minorca, all throughout the country.
Italy: Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Perugia, Abruzzo, Dolomites, etc.
France: Provence (including Aix-en-Provence), Cannes, Nice, so many other places.

Forget about my statement above, I need more than a month...

Kappa, a Deloreon is the car that TIME travelled in that movie Back to the Future.

If by money and circumstances you mean political stability and safety also , my list would be :

Egypt

Israel

Bora Bora( well all the south seas,, Fiji, Cook islands etc)

Argentina

I am getting more and more conservative with age, less and less willing to travel to scary places. but Egypt is still on the bucket list.

Everywhere (practically). And once DH retires next year we will do a lot of the places we haven't been yet, as well as going back to some of our favorites (London, Paris, Prague, Rome, Venice - yes, we are primarily city people).

Patagonia! The only place left from my list I made in 1974. I have seen the other 24>

Inspiring. Wondering if you'd be willing/able to share the other 23 on your list.

bob - that is amazing that you made a list over 40 years ago and have achieved 23 out of 24 of them. Incredible.

Peg - you may feel like never traveling again but I hope you do.

I had not been home more than two weeks (from Italy, Greece and the Baltics) when I found myself involuntarily checking airfares for next spring to Italy - so I guess that would mean Italy.

But I just came across a copy of the book "Born Free" which I had not read in decades. Reading that book was the first time I ever really wanted to go anywhere - for years I dreamed of going to Africa (I even name one of my dogs Elsa, years later). So now re-reading it I want to go to Kenya.

I haven't been on the Forum for quite a while. I was impressed with Bobthenavigator's list he made of 25 places he wanted to visit and has only one left to visit!! I would love to see your list, Bob. I haven't been out of the US in quite a while and really would like to go back to Italy, . . Naples, Pompeii, Sicily (Ancestral home), Madrid/Barcelona. I love Rome, Venice, Florence and Paris, and have visited these beautiful cities. We shall see where my next trip will be?

If I can go anywhere this week, I would go to Hong Kong then Taiwan. I have been craving XiaoLongBao and shrimp fried rice without any green onions.

Or maybe San Sebastián.

My God! I just realized I can go anywhere I want! Only I'd have to go alone and my wife would never forgive me. Still, the freedom is terrifying! Where do want to go?
