honey moon in Rome
Hello everyone, my nephew and future wife are getting married in May 2016. They will be celebrating their honeymoon in Rome. What would be the best area to stay? and also can you recommend a nice place to stay. It's doesn't have to be a fancy hotel but a cozy bed and breakfast or apartment.
thank you

Well my favorite areas are the Tridente and Campo Marzio.
Others like Campo di Fiori. Me, not as much but wouldn't say absolutely no.
Trastevere close to the river.
Piazza Navona and Pantheon are popular and crowded.
This is probably my favorite Rome apartment to date, with very nice staff:

Hi Tribi
My husband I I were in Rome last year and stayed at this apartment in the Trastevere and loved it.

The Owner met us at the apartment and she was lovely and left a list of great places to see, eat and drink at. The apartment was a great size for 2 people and the area, while not in the main tourist district, seems to have an authentic feel to it and plenty of places to eat and close to transport.

The Vatican quarter is a bit more residential and hence quieter with more local stores and local restaurants. Do make sure they are near urban transport, the city is easy for walkers but sometimes you just need a bus

It would help to know a specific nightly budget in euros. Also what they are expecting in terms of amenities, (AC, private bath, elevator, bar in the hotel, etc).
We value noting else as much as an absolutely central location. Rome is easily walkable and par of the joy of visiting is exploring a number of different areas, walking home after dinner througt floodlit piazzas with beautiful fountains, etc. Not possible if you stay too far from the center.
