Iceland, Greenland itinerary
I am traveling to Iceland/Greenland this summer, paricularly end of June, beginning of July. I have 11 day/nights of time in this area. I am thinking of going to Greenland for a few days (Tasiilaq) and then spending the other 8 days/nights in Iceland. Any comments on this? Also, any recommendations on itineraries for my time in Iceland? I am a young traveller who likes adventure and being on the go;I don't need/want much "rest" this trip. Also, any comments about transportation in Iceland-should I rent a car or take buses or fly? Thanks

hi amy,
I strongly recommend getting hold of the lonely planet guide to Iceland which has all the public transport options for Iceland.
as for Iceland alone or Iceland AND Greenland, our experience last year [click on my screen name and you'll find my trip report] 11 days is barely enough to get round Iceland let alone get to Greenland as well. if one were reliant on buses [not trains!] I think this would make things harder still.
personally I think i would stick to Iceland.
please feel free to come back with any other queries you may have,
regards, ann
