ICELAND BUSKER - Please Help!

Hi Everyone,
I want to propose to my partner in iceland in February 2016 and my plan is to do it under the northern lights whilst a musician / busker plays our song in the background.

My problem is I cannot find any buskers or solo guitarists/musicians on the web that I can contact about this

I will obviously pay the musician and cover costs of getting them there and all that, but can anybody provide me with contact details or info on buskers or musicians in Reykjavik that would be able to help me?

Thanks in advance

Mike

What about checking with the staff at your hotel?

If you still need help why not contact the local tourist office?

A potentially bigger problem is making sure you actually see the Northern Lights. There's no guarantee, you know. You could sit outside all night for a week or more and never catch them.

I wouldn't presume that any random busker would even be able to do that. They may not be able to just play something they don't even know or play by ear. Depens what the song is as to how good it will sound with a single instrument such as guitar. So it sounds like you are planning on spending a lot of money for that idea without knowing how well they can play, if you are talking paying for them to travel some place.

But if you want to proceed, I'd suggest you post an ad as to what you are looking for on Craigslist for Reykavik, Iceland. They have a section for musicians in the Community section.
