Iberia Airlines and Air One

What do folks know about these airlines. They seem to have the lowerst prices to Rome

Most reports that I have seen about flying Iberia to Rome have been positive, with an easy connection in Madrid.

Air One, an Italian airline, only started flying to the US this month.

Sorry; that might be misleading about Air One. The airline has been around for about 10 years, flying within Italy and to European destinations.

Air One just postponed their launch from MXP-BOS for 2 weeks and MXP-ORD a few days because of delays in delivery of their longhaul planes.

BOS will start 6/27, ORD will start 6/26 now.

We flew Iberia to Rome in Oct. The flight was fine, and the stopover was easy. The only glitch - we spent A LOT of money at Fendi in Rome, so I wanted to get the VAT tax back. We had to do this in Madrid since it was our last Euporean stop (even though it was just a layover) We had to run to another terminal & go through customs again! It was a little stressful. This Fall we are flying Eurofly direct.

We just flew from Barcelona to Heathrow on Iberia. The flight was fine, but not even a glass of water was offered. Take your own if you fly and want something to drink.

I can't speak for flights from the US to Europe on Air One, but we recently flew Air One Athens to Palermo on a 737 and again Catania to Rome on a 320. The 320 was quite comfortable while the 737 had more narrow seats and less leg room. Both flights were pleasant and smooth, and our luggage arrived intact. We booked both flights online from the US with no problem.

Madrid MAD is a great airport...you can make even connections that appear to be relatively tight (60 minutes or so). We just flew Iberia/Air Nostrum RT to Naples from JFK and were very happy.
