We stayed next door to Villa Depolo. There wasn't vacancy when we called, and Ms. Depolo gave us the phone number for Dora, her next door neighbor.
I'm sure it wasn't as nice as Villa Depolo. It was more of the standard Croatian private apartment where you know there will be one "weird" thing about it. But Dora was great, the price was great, we had the same amazing view out our window and we ended up staying an extra night.
Ask Ms. Depolo if she can supply you with her neighbor's phone number.

We did 7 nights in Croatia last year, driving from Dubrovnik to Zagreb. We did not make it to any of the islands because our trip was in November and we couldn't find accommodations on them that were open that time of year. We also had to skip Plitvice because the day we were supposed to visit it was a chilly and very rainy day.
With all of that being said, I too agree that your itinerary is too ambitious. I was 27 and in good health and we like to travel faster than most on this board, but I thought that our itinerary was too fast after I experienced it. You will be spending 4 consecutive nights in 4 different places. Croatia is a beautiful and amazing place and you can't see it all in a lifetime, let alone 7 nights. I think that if you toned it down a bit you will be able to better enjoy the beauty and relax a little instead of jumping from town to town. Just my thoughts, of course.

We spent a month in Croatia and stayed in many private apartments and two hotels.
In the apartment we stayed in Dora's, I remember the bathroom not being quite "repaired", like there were problems with the plumbing, so a square of drywall was cut out but hadn't been replaced. Plumbing worked fine though!
Other places in Croatia might have a strange odor coming from the shower drain, or in Bol we stayed upstairs in a brand new finished room, but an unfinished floor (stairs are still plywood).
In Opatija we were once locked in our room because of a sticky lock. The owner was able to release us!
Nothing that individually is unheard of here, but in Croatia it seemed pervasive. But still, no big deal. Especially for $30/night.
I don't recognize the email. Dora's place is at the same height as Rezi's. Some places have quite a flight of steps up. We called Rezi, so she gave us Dora's phone number, which is long lost.
Here's a picture of Rezi's & Dora's. Rezi's is the pretty yellow one.
