How to best to visit Carlos Scarpa's Brion Vega Cemetery

I will be in Venice at the end of September and would like to take a day trip to see Scarpa's Brion Vega Cemetery. Does anyone have any tour recommendations? Or advice?

I checked with the Italian Tourism Board last year before i went to Venice - I remember it being somewhat complicated without having a car. If you're inthe US give them a call - they were very helpful.

I visited the cemetery in 1990 and again in 1999. The first time: I was a backpacker and used public transport from Venice. I took a train to Castle de Franco and then a bus to San Vito di Ativole. Bus runs infrequently as I recall; the driver didn't speak english and I didn't speak Italian but he was really helpful. I was the last person on the bus and excited to see the Scarpa site. Second visit: I visited with my family and we were touring the Veneto with a rental car. Our base was Bassano at the time and the cemetery is a short drive from there; maybe 30 minutes or so. I would recommend using a rental car for transport because you can take in so much more of the landscape and architecture at your own pace.

Made it to the Brion Vega Cemetery on my way from Croatia to Venice. It was well worth the effort! Unfortunately Scarpa's work at a Fondazione Querini Stampalia was under going reconstruction so I could only get a glimpse of it from the bridge and around the construction debris.

Thanks.
