How many actually GO?
Do any of you wonder how many folks, while sitting at their job and being paid to do other things, actually are watching "fodors" and better yet, How many of these people with rabid opinions on travel actually go ANYWHERE? I do. I think the real travellers are pretty scarce.

I think the majority do travel and/or are planning to and want to get opinions so they will be somewhat knowledgeable? I do travel but even if I didn't would find the opinions interesting. I do sometimes think that who appear to be the most knowledgeable may be selling or dreaming?

there are 24 hours in a day.
you can spend 30 minutes here, post a few things, post some answers, and all of a sudden have 30 people answer your question (usually flamers) and then the
dimwits come out of the woodwork and think you sit online all day because your post keeps topping (cause, and effect people)... this is called projecting - including arguing with themselves or other anonymous posters. very funny when you think about it! their imaginary friends. at least they have some friends.
meanwhile, the person flamed actually travels constantly and regularly for work or pleasure and they have something of value to to say about it. but it's lost in the din.
never underestimate the stupidity of certain people - the lowest common denominator always wins.

You said, "including arguing with themselves or other anonymous posters. very funny when you think about it! their imaginary friends. at least they have some friends."
This I believe is the best example of projection I have seen on these boards.
