How long does it take?

I learned after my last trip to England, that distance can be misleading as far as the amount of time it takes to get around. With that in mind how long would it take me to get to Cornwall from Oxford by car? To York from Oxford by car? To Edinburgh from Oxford by car? And to Wales from Oxford by car? Yes--I know I am just talking about a general area in some cases, but I am just trying to get a general feel as to how long the trip would take?

There are some very good route planners online that will give you a realistic time. www.theAA.co.uk or multimap.co.uk or mapquest.co.uk

You can check www.theaa.com. Put in your point of origin and destination and you'll get a route plus the amount of time it will take to drive it.
