We returned home through CDG in mid March. We were at the airport 2 hours early and when we finally got through the luggage inspection line, the ticket line, the passport control line and the metal detector line they were borading the flight...no down time and very stressful as to whether we were going to make it in time.

The worst was the line to inspect luggage. The system at American Airlines was very confusing and the lines were long; they also changed the lines several times...i.e. it was the correct line when you got in it, then midstream they changed it and when you got to the front they made you go to the end of the other line. (They were checking in for 3 flights; but they were running late, so then they sent all people from the later 2 flights to the end of another line...which makes sense, except there was no anouncement or signage for this...people just found out when they got to the front of the first line.)

It was about a week after the Madrid bombing and they were really inspecting the luggage...men traveling alone were having their stuff pawed through big time.

We are a family of 7 flying British Air from Paris to Dulles airport at the end of July. How long before our flight should we arrive at CDG? We're planning on using the Bee shuttle from the Hotel Muguet.

It would seem that all the other responses would have answered this for you but I believe the shuttle people will ask you what time your flight is and then tell you when they will pick you up. Three hours is the norm.

Susie--

Thanks for the tip about going through security again and exiting the airport. USAir has us scheduled fot 1 and a half hours between touchdown in Philadelphia and take-off again.
