TGV into CDG

How much time should I allow for getting from the TGV at CDG to catching a flight?

My plan is to take an early train from Strasbourg to CDG and then catch a flight from CDG to Manchester. The one I'm looking at (due to lower cost) only leaves me an hour. Is that enough time to get my bags checked and get to the gate? I'm assuming CDG to MAN would be considered an international flight, so I"m not sure if I should count on it taking longer.

Thanks!

I have had experiences with CDG that are completely different...the first was the longest check-in, baggage drop and security times ever, anywhere...coach ticket and security was slow and they are not motivated to more any faster...the original line wasn't that bad, but they would let in anyone with children, elderly, who ever and always in front of all of us who had been waiting there forever.

My next experience, I left even more time than usual, and wouldn't you know, no line to check in, drop bags or at security. We were in biz class and permitted to use the Access One lines, but security was still short, so I don't think it saved us that much time.

I wouldn't leave only an hour at CDG (or really anywhereI.

Two hours would be the minimum, given the security requirements these days.

" Is that enough time to get my bags checked and get to the gate?"

When does your airline stop accepting baggage for THAT flight, and how far is that terminal from the TCV station? And what, on the deal you've got with airline, are the consequences of missing the flight?

That's the information you need - and only you know enough about your plans to find either piece of information out.

It's utterly immaterial how long other airlines set for flights to America or Israel. OR the time someone tells you they'd check in: how do you know whether they're a worry-wort or an obsessive leaver till the last minute?

It also depends on what terminal your flight leaves from.

Also, you must realize that "if an airline can overbook a flight they will." We had 2 hours at CDG between our TVG arrival and flight departure. When we checked in at the gate we were told that we were on stand-by. They had overbooked the flight by 20%. It did not matter that our reservations were 3 months old. It really becomes "first come, first serve." We did make the flight but our traveling companions did not. Moral of the story...I would say a minimum of 2.5 hours. Better still is a full 3.

If I remember correctly from when I last checked, the flight left from T2, which is where the TGV comes in, right? I dont know when Flybe stops accepting baggage, but I think I just wont chance it and will just book a flight from Strasbourg to Manchester!

Thanks for the help!
