Hotels in Sorrento

Does anybody have suggestions for a nice, but reasonably priced hotel in Sorrento, Italy? We will be traveling there in mid-June. Thanks!!

Finding something inexpensive/reasonable in Sorrento is not easy..but we needed a place just for one night last year because out reservation in Positano wasn't available until the next night, and we were turining our car in that next morning in Sorrento...found the il Faro ("the lighthouse&quot down in the little marina (Marina Picolo)...clean, family run, good breakfast, huge room..served the purpose. I can recommend it at less than a $100.

We stayed in may for 70 euros including breakfast (coffee and roll at a restaurant down the street) at the Palazzo Starace. Great location, clean - looks just like the pictures.

Not sure what is "reasonably priced" for you, but I've stayed at the Hotel City, a short walk from the train station (ten years ago--has it been that long? gasp). It was a clean and perfectly fine budget hotel.

Check Il Nido hotel in Sorrento. We stayed there in November and loved it! It is family run, reasonable, very clean, and has a resturant with food that is homemade by the family and is both wonderful and extremely reasonable. The home made pasta was out of this world. Their shuttle service runs often to both the train station and center of town. This allowed us to be in a quite area with a balcony overlooking the bay, yet we were able to be shuttled to town and back easily. I would also add the family members went out of their way to pick up our friends who stayed at a nearby expensive hotel and found the service disappointing at best. They came to have dinner with us at Il Nido
because it was so good. Gianni is at the desk and always more than helpful. Hope you enjoy yur trip.
