Hotels in London & Paris
In conjunction with my earlier post, I was wondering if anyone had any comments or thoughts about any of these hotels that were recommended by our travel agent:
LONDON: Sheraton Park Lane, Flemings Mayfair, Thistle Marble Arch, or Thistle Victoria
PARIS: Hotel Lutetia, Hotel du Louvre, Hotel Ambassador, K+K Hotel Cayre
Any help is appreciated.

I'm confused by the pricing - are you saying the rooms are $225 per night for a double room? That sounds way too low for some of those hotels - but I've never heard prices quoted that way so don;t know what the $ really are.
In London esp - there seem to be significant differences between the hotels - and can't believe there aren't major price differences between them.
Can you clarify price by hotel?

My husband and I stayed at Thistle Marble Arch in September of 2005. The hotel was okay. Rooms are very small and the bed felt like it was on a board. We paid about 225.00 per night and I really feel that was to high. We also stayed at the Russell Hotel on that same trip. We did that through Priceline and paid about 150.00. The room we had was pretty nice and for 100.00 we could have upgraded to a beautiful room with a claw foot tub, sitting area and beautifully furnished. Check out the Russell Hotel.
