Hotels in Copenhagen

Any advice on where to stay in Copenhagen. Just one night before our cruise leaves. Thanks in advance

Any idea of budget? Amenities? Number of people?

There is 2 maybe 3 depending on if we share a room or one gets his own room. Trying to not spend to much on a hotel before the cruise.

Thanks for the tip on hrs.com. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to stay? Any areas to avoid

All of Copenhagen is pretty safe, so no real areas to avoid. The Vesterbro area is probably the seediest, but has a pretty good selection of hotels. If you want a nice, American-style hotel, then the Marriott is head and shoulders better than anything other than the d'Angleterre.

However, if you are just looking for a place to crash (and it sounds like you are) then I would maybe look at the Comfort Hotel Esplanaden, which is very central and not too far from the cruise terminal. Typical Comfort Inn quality, though.

The closest hotel to the cruise terminal (walking distance, if you don't have much luggage) is the Adina, which is an "all-suite" hotel with kitchenettes, and gets the thumbs up from friends. If trying to fit in 3, it may give a lot more room, as many of the CPH hotels have small rooms. Not super cheap though.

What is "not much" to you? To some people it's under $100 per night, to others it's under $250.

Is your cruiseline offering any special pre-sail deals?

FWIW, I've stayed in the Marriott and I really liked the hotel. I would stay there again with no hesitation.

I would take a canal tour, check out Tivoli, cruise the Stroget, grab lunch in Nyhavn if it is nice, and maybe check out Rosenborg Slot. Should be a good day.

You will like the Marriott. A very nice hotel, even by Marriott standards.

I loved this one

http://www.thesquarecopenhagen.com/

Its right next to Tivoli Gardens, near the train station and within walking distance of everything. The hotel is hip and modern and has a great breakfast room with a lavish buffet!
