I stayed at La Terme next door to this hotel. All I can say is that it looked a heck of a lot nicer than my hotel..but they were booked.

Your web browser can pull up all sorts of info about this hotel...here's some I found:

http://www.made-in-italy.com/travel/spas/posta/posta.htm

http://www.travel-italy.com/hotels/hotels/tuscany/posta_marcucci.html

You may want to consider staying in Pienza. Stayed there last year and really liked it.

Yes! We chose it solely based on their hot-sulphur-spring-fed swimming pool. Definitely bring your bathing suit. They had half or full board--because it didn't look like there was much in the town we chose full board, but dinner was only OK--I'd recommend going elsewhere to eat. The town is not too far from Montalcino. Breakfast was good though. The town although very small is worth seeing and the views of the surrounding area are pretty. I'd stay there again.
Have fun!
Patti
