Hotel Cannon D'Oro

This is a hotel that is not listed on the "rants and raves". I am wondering if any of you have been there and can tell me what you think? We have two adults, an older teenage son and a 7 year old. Nothing fancy needed, but clean, not loud and a bathroom a must. Other recommendations are apprecaited. We will be there at the end of June, beg of July.

Now I remember the hotel.

My wife and I stayed there for a couple of nights. It wasn't in any of our prefered choice list. However, time constraints and fully-booked hotels in Siena landed us this hotel abour 2 years ago.

It was very simple and basic, nothing fancy and almost bland, with the walls painted white all over. Quite clean, small rooms and with ensuite bath/toilet. Good walking-distance location to the main places of interest in Siena.

If this is OK for you then go for it. As for us, we may just as well avoid Siena if we can, rather than book oureselves into this hotel again.

Good luck.

Here's a fairly recent thread with some feedback. To find others, type "hotel and canon d oro" (no apostrophe) into the text box at the top of this page.
