Hotel Place de Voges-Room 60?
Has anyone stayed at this ** hotel. we've been offered the top floor room with 3 single beds (largest in hotel). 3 of us traveling together, so a standard double is out. Any feedback on: Size of room? Windows? View? Amenities? Neighborhood?

No, I have not stayed at your hotel. However, I checked out a review on Frommers via Tripadvisor.com and the room you're offered, #60, is the hotel's best room. It has a very luxurious bathroom. As for the view from this room, it overlooks the rooftops of Paris.

The area you'll be in is pretty good. You'll be closeby to the Musee Carnavalet and the Place des Vosges square.

Joan, I recently posted some info about this hotel & this room! for someone here (was it you?) from an article I found about good inexpensive hotels in the Washington Post from 1999. Here is the website http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/travel/features/parishotels041899.htm
The article talks about several places so scroll down until you find this hotel. By the way, the article says the decor was nothing much but I then read elsewhere it was renovated in 2000, after this was written. It sounds heavenly and I adore this location. Please let us know how it was when you get back!

We were going to stay there last Christmas, but managed to rent an apartment instead. We did walk by to see how it looked. Very nice small street entering onto Place des Vosges. The hotel looked nice; small and quaint from the outside. I would stay there, however, we are going back again in February and are renting another apartment in the Marais.
