Hotel in Rome

Looking for a hotel in Rome in a good central location. Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Dormus Praetoria? If so, what do you think? Price looks fairly good.

Have you looked at tripadvisor.com? The location wouldn't be my choice, but many of the budget hotels are located near the train station.

Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps are good centrally located areas, not far from each other, actually.
Rome is pretty big, so you'll most likely have to use public transportation in some cases, but generally, many sites are easily walkable from those areas.
Try to look at a street map of Rome to get oriented.

Hi,

try www.hoteljulia.it

I stayed here in 2003.
It was clean and safe.
Right by the Trevi.
Breakfast included.

Many prefer the Pantheon, Campo De Fiori, Piazza Navona triangle as this area is within walking distance to most of the major attractions. I've stayed in this area twice and love it. What price range are you looking for and how many nights are you staying?

Search on Romeby.com. You can search by area and get listings according to price, popularity, etc.

Also, venere.com

I don't know this hotel, but we very much liked Due Torre--near the Pantheon and the Piazza Navona, also the River and the bridge to Vaatican City. It is in a quiet cul de sac in a real neighborhood; service and breakfast is excellent, rooms are small but well appointed.

Hi travelnut,

We have stayed at these hotels which are very conveniently located. The Genio and Residenza Canali are just steps from Piazza Navona and the Nazionale is close to the Pantheon.

Hotel Genio

Last time I was in Rome we stayed at the Hotel Raphael right next to the Piazza Navona.
Amazing location, great hotel room.
My wife says she wouldn't want to stay anywhere else next time.
