Where are all your pictures?

Every time there is a fodorites get together someplace, the first thing that comes up is "where are pix of the attendees so we can put faces with names?" The profiles now provide an opportunity to put faces with names and I'm not seeing many. I was so bold as to display my mug for this sometimes critical crowd to take a gander at. How about others of you? I'd sure like to see what some of you that I've responded to over the years--and who have responded to me--look like. I think eventually I'll change to show pix of places we've traveled, but for now, I think it's kind of fun to see who's who. I expect I've not only formulated ideas of folks that are very different from reality age-wise but even sex-wise. Interesting to find out that someone you always thought was a young man turns out to be an old lady or vice versa. So what do you look like?

OK, I changed my suitcases to a photo of me+Italy+gelato. I don't know how long I'll leave it there, though.

Travelnut, you're highly presentable. I'd leave the picture for a while. Enzian, hey, I now know what Enzian is, but a picture to place with the flowers would be nice as well.
Thanks.

I also changed mine to a photo of MDH and I in our favorite place.

I agree, it's fun to see who's who.

TPAYT, I'm originally from Wisconsin--Eau Claire. Have you bumped into the posts of Happy Cheesehead, who you might guess from her moniker to be another of our clan. Please tell us about the Marco Polo. I don't think I've ever run across it--in Paris or in Paris guide books.

Hi Julie,

Are you asking about Marco Polo Italian restaurant in Paris? It's very good. I've been several times and sent my brother and family there last April and they enjoyed it (I think they went twice). Large portions, very friendly waitstaff. It's at 8, rue de Conde, about half way between St-Sulpice and the Odeon Theatre. If you're facing the entrance of St-Sulpice walk around the church to the left and it's about 1.5 blocks down, on a corner (striped awning). They have outdoor seating in mild weather (and if it's a bit cold they have propane heaters).

Hi enzian; I just changed some wording. I just clicked on my ID. Then went to 'edit your profile', made the changes and clicked on 'save'. It workeed. At first I was cautious about adding a photo. But I did it. Next will be to change a photo. Whew. Iris

I'm rarely in pictures because I'm always the one taking them. But I did muster up one of Mr. Fan & myself taken on the Via dell Amore in the Cinque Terre. No loud laughter please!

Ooooo! I LOVE all of your photos!

Travelnut - To be honest, I like your pic + gelato better than the suitcases.

iris - so beautiful! Looks like a professional Japanese garden.

adrienne - is that a photo of somewhere in Italy?

Yelpir - interesting boulder!

Thank you all for sharing. It's really fun.

It IS fun to see these photos - especially with the cool 'travel' backgrounds.

Mine is a bit of a cheat, since it's about 10 years old, but it is a "travel" photo, since (though you wouldn't know it) it was taken in Australia. And it was raining, hence the grumpy expression.
