Hotel in Paris Help Urgent

I have posted my previous message about Online Booking in Paris. I am still in the midst of searching for a room for my trip to Paris on 24 July (4days). Can anyone recommend any good hotel with airconditioned, easily accessible to public transport, preferable in central of Paris or main tourist attraction area. However it's ok even if the hotel is located a far way for main tourist attraction area as long as it's is easily accessible to public transport, safe and not in red light district area. My budget is between 60-90 euro. Thanks.

The hotel where my daughter and I stayed in March (recommended by someone on Fodor's) meets all of your other requirements. But I don't think it's air conditioned. It's the Hotel de Turenne http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/h75007turenne2.htm We paid €79 per night.

The location is wonderful, not far from the Eiffel Tower, very close to Les Invalides and less than a block from a Metro stop.

I went to Laterooms.com and came up with the Campanile Bastille in the 11th.
No one had anything tragic or horrible to say about the hotel on TripAdvisor.(Small rooms...but hey? Its Paris!)
I like the area. It's air conditioned.
It fits your budget.

When I just checked the link to make sure it works I noticed that it does say air conditioning!

We just got back from our trip and stayed at the Hotel Claude Bernard and loved it. It was in a great location. We had AC and a balcony. I emailed the hotel directly to book. email is: [email protected]

We took other fodorites advice on this hotel and were very happy. It is just a very short walk to Notre Dame. Great cafe across the street.

Good Luck.

welcome home!

I'm so glad you loved the CB! What floor were you on? Did you post a trip report yet? I'd like to relive my trip!

Kwren,
Yes, we are back, but I have not posted a trip report yet. Too tired. Our flight out of Zurich was delayed enough to miss our connection so we returned later than expected. I will post soon.

We stayed on 2nd floor at the CB, room 22. Big room and balcony.

Andrea Rivoli might be booked up but it has A/C and is in your price range and it's very central.

In addition to the other sites I and others have mentioned, try these:
http://www.flyhotel.com
http://www.flashbooking.com

The Accorhotels.com site has some air-conditioned hotels, but you have to look through the listings carefully to find them.

KelC - This is from my report last year: We had no problem finding our hotel (Hotel Tourisme, 66 Avenue de la Motte-Picquet, PARIS 75015, France - Phone : +33 (0)1 47 34 28 01 Fax : +33 (0)1 47 83 66 54
Web site : www.france-hotel-guide.com/h75015tourisme.htm - Email : [email protected]). This hotel is on the edge of the 15th/7th arr. The hotel is in an excellent location (across the treet from it is a Monoprix). You're very close to the Ecole Militaire, the Eiffel Tower, etc. A room for 1 person is 67/72 Euros (with shower), 80 Euros with bath. The rooms are airconditioned! Access to the Metro is VERY close (literally a few feet from the hotel entrance, as well as on the Avenue as well).

Counting down...it's 3 weeks to go before departure...We have finally short listed Tourisme Hotel Paris and Timhotel Tour Eiffel. So far Tourisme hotel is our preference as we have read quite a number of bad remarks on Timhotel ie. overbooking problem, thin room wall, noisy, etc Is it true ? Does Timhotel has airconditioned room ?In regards to Tourisme Hotel, We are concerned about the safety of the area and metro station ie. La Motte Picquet Grenelle as there are some remarks that it's not safe there.

We need to book the hotel by today...pls advice us ....thanks

It's hard for me to imagine that the area of the La Motte Picquet Grenelle stop is unsafe. My daughter and I walked by that area (and saw this hotel) one evening in February around 7 PM and did not notice anything weird or seedy. Of course, I'm hardly an expert in this area, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there on the grounds of safety.

If a hotel does not advertise air-conditioning, the very strong odds are that it doesn't have it. Timhotels usually do not.
