Hotel in Paris for Family

We're thinking of planning a trip to Paris with our three daughters (8,14 and 16) for a long weekend and would like to find a hotel (***) that offers suite accomodations or adjoining rooms. Preferably in the 1st, 5th, 6th or 7th.

I know it can be tough to find these in Europe and wonder if anyone has a suggestion.
Thanks in advance!

Adele:

The Hôtel Duquesne (***) in the 7me has "chambres communicantes," which we've enjoyed with our two children.

Adele, you will have troubles finding accommodation for 5, unless you rent an appartment.

Go for a double and a triple room. And as Mary said, do some research and tell the hotel exactly what you want/need (adjoining rooms). Like that, you will also have two bathrooms which seems a must with three young ladies..
If you are first timers, I think the 6th would be the best area to get around (also by walking).

A couple of years ago, we had a great stay at L'Hotel de Fleurie in the 6th. Excellent location, lovely rooms, tasty breakfast, and helpful staff. The only drawback is that rooms overlooking the street can be noisy - so best to request ones at the back of the hotel. They do have some "chambres familiales" created by interconnecting doors between certain pairs of rooms.

Adele,
Here's a list of hotels that list having "Family Rooms" in the arrondissements you indicated:
HOTEL DEGRES DE NOTRE DAME - 5th (10 r des Grands Degrees)
HOTEL DES GRANDES ECOLES - 5th (75 r Cardinal Lemoine)
LE JARDIN DES PLANTES - 5th (5 r Linne)
HOTEL CLUNY SORBONNE - 5th (8 r Victor Cousin)
HOTEL SAINT-PAUL - 6th/St. Germain de Pres (43 r Monsieur Le Prince)
HOTEL DE L'ODEON - 6th (13 r Saint-Sulpice)
REGENT'S HOTEL - 6th (44 r Madame)
HOTEL DU DANUBE - 6th (58 r Jacob)
HOTEL SAINT-ANDRE-DES-ARTS - 6th (66 r Saint-Andre-des-Arts)

Hope that helps. Please e-mail me if you need any further info (I couldn't list it all here).

Have a great time in Paris!! : )

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

My husband and I have been to Paris a few times and we've done quite a bit of research on hotels, but we've not been looking before for adjoining rooms or a double and a triple. A web search has turned up a few options where a double/triple would be quite reasonable. Will let you know what we decide and how it turned out.

Another one that has been popular here with families is the Palais du Bourbon
