Hote D'Angleterre (rue Jacob, Paris)

Hi, finally, if anyone is interested in Hotel d'Angleterre in St. Germain, the hotel has a website now.

Website is www.hotel-dangleterre.com

Me again. I just looked at the hotel's website and the rooms look recently refreshed - same also with the lounge area.

Hi francophile!
this is nice, to look at these pictures. Our room was like Deluxe Room II with the fireplace but it was a room and a half. They do look nice, don't they?
The price isn't any worse since our last visit~

It looks really nice! Scarlett, did you happen to see a standard room while you were there? I'm curious whether the standard rooms are larger than the Verneuil standard rooms. And did you like the staff?

Hi,
The first time we stayed at the Angleterre, we stayed in the least expensive room, so it was one long room with a wall dividing the bed from the area with the table and chairs, huge bath and seperate toilet. Three huge windows looking over the courtyard.
After that we have stayed in the large room/suite with the fireplace overlooking the courtyard, it was the largest room before being an apartment.
We have stayed in the Lutece on the Ille St-Louis and the Danube.
But we always went back to the D'Angleterre, they have always treated us very well. We recieved a condolence note from them on September 11, and New Years cards. They are sort of stiff and formal but never rude and always do what they can to make us happy.
Some people were not happy with their stays at the Angleterre, so I can only say that I love it there and look forward to returning~

I think some remodeling/redecoration may have been done recently. Unless the pics are deceiving. But the lounge furnishings & carpeting looks quite new.
Our room #44 isn't shown but it was a deluxe.
And now they offer comp. breakfast.
Does anyone know if there is a change in ownership and/or management?

Not that long ago, I received a card from M Blouin, the lady that ran it for years. I think everything is the same.

I guess you're right, Scarlett because I think I see her in one of the website pictures (the one of the reception desk).
Do you think the rooms have been renovated - or refreshed as they say? Are they still getting alot of clients as before as they look like they're advertising alot now: new website, offering breakfast, even seasonal discounts?
The rooms really look attractive.
