Honeymoon PLEASE Help...
Planning September honeymoon... Three nights in Venice at the Hotel Dei Dogi (we like the "off the beaten path" concept & enjoy strolling the city. Then onto Positano for 6 nights at the Hotel Miramare. unfortunately, the famous Room 210 I keep reading about is unavailable & we have been guaranteed room 209. (anybody been?) So, any thoughts are much appreciated. THANK YOU!

Can't help you from first hand experience, but we just booked a trip to Italy for this September and will be staying at the Dei Dogi as well. Have read very good things about it here and on tripadvisor.com.
Also, I've been in touch with the hotel chain (Boscolo hotels), since we will be staying in a Boscolo hotel in Rome as well. They were very friendly and helpful and responded to the special requests we made.
Enjoy!

Just saw your reply, if you're still checking this post, we did reserve the rooms on Orbitz. We found it to be the cheapest. Same with the Exedra in Rome, also a Boscolo hotel. We'll be in Venice in late September, after 4 days in Rome to start. Have a great trip.

I really love Positano, but I'm wondering even though it's your honeymoon, if six nights there is simply too much. Positano is a tiny place, and while you can easily take daytrips to other towns on the coast, you might find yourself wanting to base somewhere else after a few days. For that reason, I'd recommend 3 nights in Positano and 3 nights in either Ravello or Capri.
Good luck, and congratulations!

We, too, are honeymooning in room 209, as 210 was booked. I've read most all the reviews and have yet to see much, if any, feedback on 209. From what the Miramare wrote me in an email, 209 has a small terrace with a table and two chairs and a bath/shower that features a glass wall overlooking the sea. I presume the terrace to be smaller than 210 and perhaps that is the main difference. We'll be there in a month and I'll post a review when we return.
