I agree--you are taking this too seriously. It is Roma--it is your honeymoon--how can you go wrong?

If it was daughter I would have her pick among del Senato, Albergo Cesari, or the funky rooms at www.casahoward.com--one with a jacuzzi.

For Romance, My wife and I love the Aldrovandi Palace, the Excelsior is also good, also, although it is somewhat of an American design hotel, the Cavalieri Hilton is great. We stayed on the consierge floor and had a very romantic view of the city. Shuttles on the hour to Rome and Via veneto. Also, if you want elegance an still be in the center of all of the action, try Ingilterra. {sic}
Ciao,

I agree, let me choose already!!!

It is between the Aldrovandi Palace , Scalinetta (sic) Del Senato or Empire Palace... or Rose Garden ??? I love the the idea of a pool especially if it is hot but is the Palace to far out??

Thank you for all your suggestions and patience, I love a great hotel and unfourtanetly we are on a budget so I want to make it perfect... I appreciate all these suggestions you guys are keeping me sane!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Aldrovandi Palace is lovely, and an incredibly romantic setting. The pool is beautiful, as are lounges, and it has two wonderful restaurants, serving delicious food: one by the pool, and another one inside, a little more formal.

It's ( a bit long) walking distance from Piazza del Popolo, Spanish Steps, if you walk through the Borghese Gardens. Besides, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service running every hour to/from Via Veneto. Also, it's a short (5 to 10 mins) taxi ride from the historical center, depending on the traffic.

If I were you, I'd pick whether the Aldrovandi, or Del Senato, if you want the hotel to be closer to the Piazzas, monuments and fountains.

Have a great time in Rome.

Regards,

S
