Honeymoon in Europe

Hi guys - I'm an Indian traveler planning for a honeymoon during 1st week of May. I have traveled to Europe in the past to all the major cities, but my fiancee has not been to Europe at all.

I am wondering between Italy/Spain/Greece/Croatia.....

- We are planning to go for 10 days.
- Would like to go to some romantic places with a mix of good food, culture, sight seeing and lounge in some beaches.
- Not planning on hopping around too much...maybe 2-3 places....

Looking forward to your suggestions based on ur experiences/knowledge.....thanks a ton

Wallakam,

Sicily !

Island, 'doable in 10 days'
Beaches, ruins (greek valley of temples in Agrigento superb), sight seeing, food is incredible (Italain food - pastas -> easy to find vegetarian ones)
Possibility of taking a boat for a small excursion

Select 2-3 places : Agrigento, Taormina, and ?

Namaste.

And congrats for your wedding.

Some of the countries you mention are generally much more expensive than others.

Are you looking for luxury "honeymoon" hotels?

What do you and your fiancee like to eat?

I would stick with Italy, starting in Venice (which is one of the most romantic places in the world) and then add 1 or 2 of the following (based on your and her interests); Florence, Tuscan hill town agriturismo, Rome, or one of the lakes in northern Italy.

(For a honeymoon I would do Venice and probably Lake Como.)

If luxury hotels are of interest, I can recommend two on the Amalfi coast in Italy...
Le Sirenuse and Monastero Santa Rosa. Maybe couple th AC and Rome. I do think Venice is very romantic but it has been too long since I have been there to be of help.

I vote for Santorini, if we are talking about Greece. It is hard to find more romantic and beautiful place and it requires 2-3 days to see everything. It could be expensive though.
We admired the sunset in Oia: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attract...th_Aegean.html
Or wine tasting here:

Not sure of your budget, but I vote Venice, Capri and Santorini.
