I've been waiting for them to go to Hungary.
The taxi scene was pretty funny - the driver kept saying: Nyugi, nyugi, ne kiabalj! (Chill, calm down, no need to yell!) with a smirk on his face knowing that they don't understand anyway.
And the comment at the parliament building (the largest parliament in Europe) "What a beautiful cathedral"!!! LOL
I would definitely like if the show was more informative, and their tasks required them to learn something about the country they are in (along with the audience).
By the way, I think the contestants were the only ones driving Trabants in the whole country. The green Trabi is considered to be lucky but it was one of the ones that broke down
Ages ago, a family friend drove to France in a Trabant. The French asked him if he made the car himself :

Mamarosa - I too saw the bruise on her arm when she was carrying the cannonballs. They'll probably contribute it to something that happened during one of the challenges. I laughed so hard when the taxi driver threw them out of the taxi. That was the best!! Not sure why this episode was to be continued? Has this ever happened before? (I've only watched Seasons 5&6)

My guess is they didn't want to cut certain parts so they decided to make it into two shows. Maybe some really interesting things will happen in the next one that they didn't want to leave out? Or they are experimenting with how much the audience can take....

Aaaak! I missed it! I didn't realize it was on an hour earlier this week. Sometimes the episode is repeated here in the Bay Area on Saturday night, but noooo, not this week. They were in Budapest? Oh no! I'm really sorry I didn't see it--a case of "you snooze, you lose."

You didn't miss much Betsy. I found it very annoying that it just ended in the middle of the episode (in my opinion) and will be continued. I was afraid some would not be aware it was an hour early (to accommodate the Kennedy Center Awards) so I made my earlier post to that effect.
I did, however, enjoy the few scenes of Budapest. While father/daughter's taxi was rolling along with the Parliament Buildings in the background, it brought back memories of lying in bed and looking out the huge window of our hotel room and seeing them lit up at night and so beautiful to wake up to in the morning. I too cringed with the "cathedral" comment and was thrilled when the taxi driver had enough and threw the bums out!
I don't know, I hope this race doesn't kill the series. Up until 6 it was a favorite of mine, but I am disappointed in this race--not just the awful teams, but even the way it is being filmed. It seems to me less of the countries visited and more of the bickering!

As I recall, they have continued episodes before. The thing is...I'm getting a feeling this one is going to be one of the "freebies" so no elimination so good for the wrestlers if true but bad if say something happens with the Jonathan duo...then they'd get to stay. I think she must still be with him because they have that website...so who knows..I think both of them are mentally ill frankly. Hopefully the producers are getting the message and if CBS doesn't cancel it after this one, I'll give it another shot and see if they do better next time. There always has been an "ugly" person of some sort on all the episodes, keeps the tension going and someone to root against, and usually someone to root for...but they have really crossed the line with some of these people.

I loved the taxidriver's action too. Now I'm getting a little anxious that Jonathan and Victoria actually win the thing. Going back to Madison seeing them at the movie premiere, maybe they did. UGH!! How could that little jerk be so rude to Gus?
It's not looking good for the wrestlers and they have kind of grown on me. Other than them, I'm rooting for Kris and Jon and Gus and Hera. I can't stand any of the others.

I missed it too Betsy, and we are faithful watchers at my house. Oh well. Early next week you will find the whole episode recapped at televisionwithoutpity.com The woman who does these recaps is really quite funny providing several LOL moments while I read.

Suki, No need to wait. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race6/ has a 3 or 4 page sumary the day after each episode.

Thanks, Keith. I did read their summary but it doesn't compare to the blow-by-blow account and pure snarkiness (is that a real word?) on television without pity. Of course, reading about a reality TV show makes me feel like I've hit an all-time low in the guily pleasure category, but so be it.

The editing was also funny in the taxi scenes. While still focusing on the race, they showed many of the other couples looking out the windows at the passing scenery and commenting on it's beauty. Not Jonathon! Just showed him ranting and raging and getting ejected from the taxi.

Travel 52 - you did the right thing by complaining. I think I am going to as well. A little controversary is fine but abuse isn't.
Since seeing them at the premiere she is just as much of an idiot as he is. All I can say is if they win I will be beyond furious. They need to be kicked off the show for his bad behavior.

I totally agree with the other posters' indignation over Jonahthan's actions and the "over the top" casting of AR6. I've watched every one of these shows, and I've always really enjoyed it. I too am embarrassed to have recommended it to friends who have never watched it before. This season's cast (with a few exceptions) is filled with a bunch of models, actors, and out of control people with an intent that they will spark controversy. I have always enjoyed watching AR for the scenery, the travel, the competitiveness, but not for the back-fighting, bad behavior, and outright abuse. I also plan to write to the network and complain.
By the way, here's a link to an interesting article about the abuse in the last episode: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6743532/

Thanks Suki and Keith. I mainly wanted to see Budapest. I agree with Madison completely. I'm really insulted that producers are trying to generate buzz by casting idiots. It's the ruination of the best series on network TV (and the only one I watch), IMHO.

It's not just this site that is talking (complaining) about Jonathan - and the general turn the casting has taken.
There are many forums devoted to discussions of reality tv shows - and in general they all echo what is being said here. Yes, I admit I've been reading some .
Particularly interesting is a forum where Jonathan has been posting in defense of himself. Same forum has another poster who is a relative of one of the racers - and offers insight into her cousin and the other teams' opinions of Jonathan now. Apparently some teams regularly get together for viewing parties at Jonathan and Victoria's house.

The AR casting this season had one thing in mind: unlikable people. From all the horrible, insensitive comments that come off their mouths, my "favorite" is the woman who said that -"Africa is such a horrible place, no wonder so many people escaped-". Imagined that ignorance in the 21st Century---and I agree, there are plenty people out there that think just like that and who are totally clueless of just how ignorant they really are.
I wish to be a fly on the wall when Victoria watches these episodes and sees what an abusive a#$%^^le her husband is. You think she'll notice?

Umm, Chatters...I think Victoria already knows about her husband, since she was there at the time...
My paper had a blurb about this incident, stating that the producer had a talk w/ ole Jonathan and told him to tone it down... article said after this talk (Berlin) there were no more occurrences of this behavior.
