Thanks JohnH, I will watch for that one.

If AR were ever to adopt a "real travel" format we might start seeing some requests for information from contestants. Something like "We are visiting Peru, Partugal, Latvia, Namibia, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Viet Nam and New Zealand and need to know what to pack". Perhaps AR could award secondary prizes for best trip reports posted to Fodors as voted by us.

Re: casting. Dovetailing with the producers' cynical choices of people who will cause a fracas rather than do American friendliness and ingenuity proud -- the increasing probability that "D-list" wannabes are trying out not to win the million but to get exposure that will somehow enhance their peculiar careers -- the wrestlers fall into that catagory along with Jonathan and slave.

Sigh. Again.

I am not a TV fan and I certainly can't identify with most of the contestants. I'm not reading through all these posts, but just wanted to say that I have become shamelessly addicted to this show!

I have been an Amazing Race fan since day 1. I get to sit in my living room and enjoy the travel around the world and adventure. I also am disappointed in the cast of characters this season. I did something that I never do....I went to the CBS site and sent in my comments. Maybe they need some feedback...I figure it can't hurt. If we're going to complain, let's do it where it might count !

lyb & Marilyn, the problem with Fodors deleting these threads (at least recently) has been the US forum, not this one. The last few times (within the last month), the US topic cop has killed the subject right away.

Warning: this Tuesday night's CBS's schedule is changed. Be sure to check what time AR is showing in your market. In mine, it will be an hour early.

A heads up for AR lovers here in the Bay Area. The show is on tonight at 8:00 p.m., or an hour earlier. Suppose that is probably the case (the hour earlier) in other areas as well. Didn't want anyone to miss the charming teams we're all loving to hate!

TO BE CONTINUED!!!????
What a rip-off!
And I thought non-elimination rounds were a bust!
Another reason why 6 stinks!

I thought the same thing! What's this "to be continued" crap?

And I still hate Jonathon.

Johnathon has to be showing out for the cameras. Surely nobody could be that big of an a..hole. ...
Again, bland teams ruined some perfectly good scenery. Oh well, Budapest looked lovely.

Ok, tonight I was pyched as long as I wasn't watching the actual people. (except for Jon and Kris who have grown on me for good attitude)

BUT... we were just in both Budapest and Eger last month and they were right there were we were. Pretty cool. Both places, highly recommended.

I thought last night's episode was the most entertaining in AR6 to date.

Still worry about Johnathon and the Centerfold girl. She keeps carrying him through the race and he keeps being irrational. Remember what happened to Dorothy Stratten in Star 80?

I really wish Jonathan were a little less resourceful because they are going to stay in the race pretty easily barring some major screw-up -- and of course, the producers don't want them gone until they're sure the audience's attention has been drawn and kept by a nicer, more winning couple. I'm also more inclined to agree with the idea that the producers know ahead of time whether there are seats on flights and where they are, now that I've started to notice these things a little more.

So, does anyone think the wrestlers are down for the count?

PS: Our other concern about the Abusive Jonathan, of course, is what he will do to Victoria when/if they're eliminated. That's very scary, actually.

As much as I was indifferent to them in the beginning, I think that Lori and Bolo are growing on me, I certainly hope they're not out for the count. Now if Hollywood couple would just get on the wrong train or something, life in AR would be beautiful! And speaking of beautiful....Budapest and Eger have just moved to the top of my "to-see" list! What phenomenal scenery, what we saw of it anyway!

PS.....My husband thinks I imagined this last night, but there was a scene in the car with Jonathon and Victoria, and I am certain I saw bruises on her upper arm, the kind you'd see if someone had grabbed you by the arm. Am I totally out of it? Or did others notice this also?

This series of AR has gone the way of MTV real world reality. I want to see travel and how to get from point A to point B, not whining and bickering and all those other things we watch tv to escape (or not). I think that CBS will kill off this show by making it just another of those stupid reality series.

I applauded the taxi driver who kicked Jonathan out of his cab.

Travelnut, me too! I was rolling on the floor when he said "finito" and tossed their sorry butts out.
As if America isn't hated enough. This show is terrible for the U.S.'s image. I hope they don't show it anywhere but here. Except for the eliminated older couple and Gus/Herra (mostly Gus), none of the teams seem to "get" the travel experience.

I was in Budapest this past September (but not Eger) and was excited to see them in places that I had been to so recently. The City really is that beautiful. Since they are still there (at least until the next episode) I wonder where else they may go to. Heroes square ? Somewhere near the historical Gellert spa ? The large market across the bridge from the spa ? Funny thing was, as I was travelling from Croatia to Budapest I wondered (pure speculation) if The Race might be passing by and kept an eye out for the flags. Of course I didn't see any !

I hope that the wrestlers are still in. I like them. They're not playing too smartly but they're determined, and seem to have a good attitude. Some teams are too full of themselves and the sooner that Kendra girl is out the better.
