Hertz "exact model" rental Paris
Has anyone used the Hertz "Exact model" rental plan in Paris?
Does it actually work?
It has been a long time since we have actually gotten the car model we have reserved from ANY car rental agency in France.
Thank you.

I can understand why getting an "exact" model you request is important to you. My Mom uses a walker and when she travels with me, we need to have a car that will accommodate her walker as well as our luggage, so I usually reserve a car that is larger than what we would normally need. So, if this is important to you and it is worth the additional cost (I assume they charge extra for this), then I would go for it.

You've always been able to get the "exact" car you want, but it typically costs extra, as they may have to move a car from one location to another, if one is not available where you want to pick it up.
We've done it several times over the years for clients who wanted an A6 or some other special car they wanted to drive and didn't want to take a chance on an "or equal".

Actually, I prefer driving a car I'm familiar with, rather then going with the "or similar", which is a term used to represent a class of car, not type of car. And if you can do so without incurring any additional fees, it's great.

I generally only need to check two things on all of the different cars I have to drive: 1. which side is the petrol tank opening? and 2. where to push the stick shift for reverse? Tiny details like lights and windshield wipers are resolved in less than a minute.
